In a multihop FCoE scenario with 2 more more FCoE devices interconnect, each device should have the same FCmap configured for connection (link) to come up. Failure to match the FCmap configuration on interconnected FCoE switches will lead to link down situations
Let's say we have a N5K------N7K-------N5K
Go to the N5Ks and do a "show fcoe" and look what FCMap you get in there. Do the same thing on the N7K and look for the FCMap you get in there. If they match, the switches should agree on the topology and will be on the same fabric.
If the FCMaps do not match, they will never bring up the connection.
show run | inc fcmap
and the
config t
no fcoe fcmap 0xefcff
